Meet Bhupinder Dhillon
Bhupinder Dhillon is the founder of the American Welfare Society and a testament to the American Dream. After arriving in the United States 43 years ago with nothing, he built a successful career as an entrepreneur and now dedicates himself to giving back. A cancer survivor, Bhupinder has made it his mission to uplift communities in need, especially in the Sikh regions of India, where he understands the struggles of poverty firsthand. His work through the American Welfare Society focuses on providing children with essential resources such as medical care, education, clothing, and shelter, inspiring others to join in a powerful cause.

What We Do.
Our mission is to uplift Sikh children, adults, and families in India who continue to endure the profound impacts of poverty, violence, and marginalization. Since 1984, nearly 200,000 Sikhs have been lost to violence and genocide, leaving countless families struggling to survive. We are committed to breaking this cycle of suffering by providing critical support and standing beside these resilient communities. Through alliances with global partners and local leaders, we deliver comprehensive programs in human rights, food security, healthcare, education, shelter, and clothing, restoring dignity and sparking generational change. Together, we strive for a brighter, more just future where all can thrive.
